VELEMVETSOS S.A. was established in 1984 in the village of Marathokampos Samos by Dimitris Velemvetsos.
Dimitris worked for many years as bakers and cooks assistant in commercial vessels where he gained knowledge and experience from excellent cooks and bakers from Konstantinoupolis (Istanbul).
In order to get inner knowledge of a bakery, Dimitris brought from Athens an expert baker who stayed with him for 18 days. Together they started the company with traditional receipts for bread and crackers, before too long they won the confidence of not only the Marathokampos people but also the nearby villages and soon the
VELEMVETSOS S.A. company established new shops in nearby villages.
